A heavy dose of coordination going on here. Today, the FT has a piece on how Russia’s military analysts are ‘fooling’ president Putin into believing that they’re winning on the battlefield. Usual bunch of Chatham House experts to back this up - presumably reading from MI6 briefings. If only Orwell was around today to see his warnings of authoritarianism fully on parade.

Completely agree simply does not make sense from my chats with friends in Moscow and elsewhere. It s more that they would like their president to be less patient.

A little off topic Larry - actually a long way off - but I'm in Australia and when I tried to log in to your Substack to post, I had to prove I was over 16 y.o.

To do that I needed to turn on my camera, face straight into camera, turn to the left, turn to the right. The only thing missing was the board with a number on it.

I thought this Online Safety Act was for social media and I wouldn't characterise your Substack as social media. News and political analysis....sure, but not fashion tips ( aside from the shirts ).

This law is making it difficult for people to access your work and threatening your income stream.

I meant to add: ...and must surely offend your Libertarian views.

I think that the NYT piece is more algae-based fuel into the 'Putin is a hungry monster' propaganda tank.

And this sentence is pure falsehood and hype: "...refusal to end the war even on the favorable terms being offered by President Trump."

The article demonizes Putin, and glorifies Trump.

Perhaps the article is an effort to appease, as Trump refiled a $15 billion defamation lawsuit against the NYT in October. The case is still open.

They lost me when they said people in the Kremlin were talking to them, lol. The propaganda has gotten to levels of ridiculousness I wasn't sure was possible.

Why would anyone expect a truthful story from the NYT or any other major media outlet? I for one have given up on all of them, including FOX News which continues to feature deep state mouthpieces like Dan Hoffman and General Jack Keane who long ago lost any respect for truth in their reporting. Which is why it is so important that you and other reliable sources of information keep on doing the splendid job you are doing.

I wish we could cut to the end of this PSYOP delivered by liars who dance around like monkeys operating in the public eye. They attest to be our leaders but just take up space to prevent us from seeing the reality that they are stealing our lives out from underneath us.

I'm curious how many people actually believe they are anything but a very dangerous distraction leading us off a cliff.

Anton needs job, these are hard times. And you can't call Putin "a psychopathic killer who tolerates no dissent" with a local example of the real thing operating in full view. Well, maybe not full.
