Losers generally don't get to create the peace plan. Unless they surrender. Which the US should.

To be fair to Trump, the 28-point Witkoff plan is much closer to what Russia is demanding than anything previously floated by the West. And of course, because it's closer to Russia's goals, Ukraine rejects it. As will the EU. They believe they can still win, or at least lose so slowly that Russia runs out of steam one way or another. Whereupon better terms will be possible.

All I can say is that history clearly shows that once provoked, Russia does not stop until victory is achieved.
