The Chinese have no issue doing business with the West as long as they refrain from attacking China. Lots of lessons learned from the history of how the West has interacted with China since the 18th century. Britain always used maximum leverage to extract whatever advantage they could gain, and resorted to violence when they couldn’t get their way. They had no sense of fair play. I have invested into Innoscience, a Hong Kong listed Chinese company with a 30% global market share on GaN semiconductors. The stock went parabolic for a while after Nvidia adopted it for their 800V power system. The stock went back down after Infineon sued them for patent infringement. The case is winding its way through the German courts now. If this info is true, banning Innoscience products in Europe will be an own goal since the Chinese government will simply stop exporting Ga to Infineon. Their plan for rearmament will go down the toilet. The Chinese government may very well ban Innoscience from supplying European military contractors in any case.
